I must admit, I get a bit careless with my legs in the winter. If they're under cover, they don't need shaving... right!? Ergh, what a slob! I decided this year, I was going to be pro-active and keep my legs smooth, but seriously cannot be bothered to shave them every day in the shower (like I said, I'm a slob). I have never epilated before, but it's what appealed to me - something that can be done in the comfort of your own home, easily, with lasting results. Step in the Braun Silk-Epil 7!
The Silk-Epil 7 can be used wet or dry - so if you prefer to get busy in the bath, you now can. If you like to epilate on dry land, they have included some Olay wipes to prepare your skin - which are really nice and soothing. Also included is 5 different heads, making this usable on your face, legs and body - as well as a trimmer for cutting any longer hairs down to size. The only thing you will need is some hair to remove, and an adaptor as my one came with a european style plug as so many things seem to do these days.
The epilator itself is slimline and fits perfectly into your hand. The circular part in the middle is ideal to rest your thumb on as you go. Once it's switched on, a light shines from above the dial, making it easy to see where you're going and to check you haven't missed a patch.
I am completely new to epilating, but I seem to have taken to it rather well. I had imagined it would feel like lots of tweezers pulling hairs at once (ie, extreme pain), but it doesn't. I wouldn't say it's the nicest feeling in the world, but it certainly doesn't make me yelp or anything! Maybe it's down to the in-built massagers. I have only done my legs - the shin bone is the hardest part, but working in long lines seems to be the best option.
The amazing thing to me, is that it can pick up hairs the size of a grain of sand, so you don't have to wait for regrowth before you need to re-epilate, although results are meant to last for around 4 weeks (I haven't had to redo mine yet from 2 weeks ago). It's so effective I really don't know why I waited until the grand old age of 30 before trying it!
The Braun Silk-épil 7 is available in the UK at Boots, Amazon, Argos, larger supermarkets & other good electrical retailers RRP £139.99
I ordered an epilator once but was too terrified to use it... maybe I'll think again!

Indeed, regardless of the possibility that a razor will take care of business, it can leave marks, aggravate the skin and the most vital thing of all, it won't be viable. best epilator reviews
